About KVM Hosting
The goal of the KVM hosting setup is to provide cheap, reliable, and semi-managed hosting for a small number of users.
Using the KVM virtualization software we can rent a large powerful machine, divide it up into fair chunks, and then each benefit for that performance at a lower than average cost.
Note: The setup is deliberately kept small, and as such we will not be taking on additional users.
Our History
The original idea of dividing up a big host, and selling off the small chunks was first implemented in 2007, and lasted for approximately seven years.
Originally we were configured using the Xen virtualization platform, but time seems to have left Xen standing still, so after a couple of years we jumped to using KVM.
